Like the poet Mallarmé (not that I am of his stature or anywhere close!) I tend not to provide preamble or much analysis of what I write, believing that the poem is its own voice. I’m going to break with the usual to some small degree, however, in providing two things:
One, Haitham is an Arabic name meaning “young eagle”.
Two, it seems many people don’t recognize “Insh’Allah”… In Arabic-speaking places, it is a pervasive expression meaning, essentially, “God willing”.
