Sometimes offices whisk the drug rep back into some lunch area to wait, hopefully not for direct access to the physicians…

The only time I object is when I’m left in the waiting room for an hour after the drug rep walks straight back. When my doctor prescribes a new medication, I ask:
1. Does it have a generic?
2. Can you prescribe the generic?
3. Can I have a copay discount card? (Which also came from the drug rep.)
I have never had a doctor or nurse object.
